Freedom of Information Requests

What are the Freedom of Information Act and the Environmental Information Regulations?
The Freedom of Information Act (2000) gives a general right of access to recorded information held by public authorities, subject to certain conditions and exemptions, with effect from 1 January 2005.

The Environmental Information Regulations (2004) gives a similar right in relation to environmental information.

What sort of information does NHS South Essex routinely publish? 
Our publication schemes are complete guides to the information routinely published by NHS South Essex. They are a  a description of the information about our organisation which we make publicly available. We review the schemes at regular intervals and monitor how it is operating.

How do I make a request for information?
You can submit a request by any of the following routes.

Firstly, you can complete the web-form. Please ensure that you give an email address so that we can reply to you.

You can also make a request in writing to either or Commissioning Arm or our Provider Arm, Community Healthcare:

You can expect a response within 20 working days of our receiving your request.
